Benvenuto! Welcome to Il Lupino Trattoria & Wine Bar, created by famed restaurateur Wolfgang Zwiener, serving delicious, authentic Italian cuisine in a relaxing, yet sophisticated, environment, featuring indoor and lanai bar and dining, an open kitchen, and a salumeria, or Italian deli.

Growing up and traveling through Europe, Wolfgang's Zwiener found his passion for true Italian cusine. While in Italy, the locals would affectionately call him "Il Lupino" derived from the "Wolf" of his name. During that time period, it became his dream to open an Italian restaurant that would offer all his favorite dishes. That dream came to fruition in December 2010, when Wolfgang proudly opened his flagship Il Lupino Trattoria and Wine Bar at the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Centre in the heart of Waikiki.

Since it’s opening, Il Lupino has garnered rave reviews and quickly become a favorite of kama‘aina (locals) and malihini (visitors), alike.

John Heckathorn, Honolulu Magazine, raved, "Il Lupino is a high-end old school Italian eatery...A restaurant worth eating at."

Jo McGarry, Midweek Food Editor and host of “Table Talk” on ESPN, said, “Il Lupino leaves little room for anything other than the highest praise...one of the truest Italian dining experiences in town,” in her review, and added in a later Twitter post, “Il Lupino is a delight. Don't wait. Go!”
